I designed this necklace with my 8 year old daughter, Gracie, in mind. Gracie was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease with a current life expectancy of 37. "Believe" has been my mantra for the past 8 years. Believe in miracles. Believe in hope. Believe in eternal love. I "Believe" that a cure will be found in Gracie's lifetime and that children everywhere will be freed from the chains of Cystic Fibrosis.
What do you "Believe?"
The profit from every "Believe" necklace sold will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help us find a cure.

I found you on Craftaholics Anonymous. I am not sure why I decided to click on this particular post, but I did. When I saw this necklace on your blog, I was immediately interested. Imagine my surprise when I read the history behind this piece. I am 27 years old and also have Cystic Fibrosis. It is so neat that I stumbled upon this! It is so precious! I hope your daughter is well. I want to tell you that I have a daughter as well who is 9 and does NOT have Cystic Fibrosis. But I just want you to know that I am married, with a daughter, and live a pretty normal life. Teach your daughter to always reach for her dreams and that she can do anything she wants. This disease can not hold us down. Our bodies, sick or not, will always fall apart eventually, but our spirits will in the end always remain strong. That is what matters the most. =)
SWelch...Thank you for taking the time to leave your beautiful comment. It was EXACTLY what I needed to hear today and be reminded of often. My daughter is doing well. She has a very strong, determined spirit that I am forever grateful for. Best wishes to you and your family. So wonderful to hear about your daughter as well. So nice to "meet" you.
This is truely a beautiful necklace, and what a speical meaning it carries!
I really hope you do well with the sale of your believe necklaces. My Great Niece has CF her younger brother doesn't. She is 6 this year and we all really hope too that a cure will be found in her lifetime. CF is a terrible illness, to look at Leah you wouldn't know anything was wrong with her, so it's hard for some people to understand what the disease really is. Hugs Linda
This is gorgeous! I love your shop (I found it from the Craftaholics Anonymous page) and I love even more that you have designs that benefit a cause! I wish you all the best in your endeavors and will keep your daughter in my thoughts!
Thank you for your sweet comments and wonderful support. It makes me so happy to think about all these little "believe" necklaces around the necks of women all over the country. Thank you!!
